Changing Your Oil in Your Car

Step by step instructions

  1. Find oil  cap
  2. Then find the oil plug
  3. Finally, find the oil filter
  4. Undo the oil plug to let the oil loose
  5. Place the oil catch container under the car directly under the plug
  6. Put on gloves, grab the ratchet and unscrew the oil plug.  Let it drain.
  7. While waiting for the oil to drain, use your (something to take the oil filter off) and take off your oil filter.
  8. Take some oil from the old filter and rub it onto the “o ring” of the new filter.
  9. Hand tighten new oil filter into the vehicle.
  10. When oil is finished draining, insert and tighten the plug back on.
  11. Take off the oil cap, place funnel in, and refill with new oil.
  12. Place oil cap on.
  13. Next, you’ll want to recheck the oil level.  After checking the level, start the car and make sure the oil pressure is going up, and let the car run for a bit.  Then recheck the oil again.

In conclusion

Changing the oil can be fairly simple. It is defiantly a job worth learning how to save yourself some money.  You just need the right tools, and strength to complete the job.  This video shows it takes 5 min, but it will really take about 15-20 min.  Watch the full video below.
